Zamalek captain Ayman Abdul-Aziz turned his attention to the Egyptian Super Cup after his side's defeat to Ahli in the CAF Champions League group stage opener.

Abdul-Aziz is hopeful that the team could make up for the defeat when they re-clash with the Reds next week, as he insists that the team's chances in the African competition are not over.

"Yesterday's defeat can be covered, I think there is still way to go in the African competition," he told the club's official site.

"But the Super Cup game is special, it means that we could add silverware to our club."

The former Trabzonspor midfielder is satisfied with his team's performance as he urged fans be easy on the players.

"I think we played a great game but were unlucky, supporters should be patient because every player did his best," he added.

Meanwhile, Zamalek announced that Wigan-bound striker Amr Zaki will be available in the Super Cup game before joining the Premiership side on loan.

The Whites will miss suspended duo Ahmed Ghanem and goalscorer Gamal Hamza, in addition to the domestically-banned Mohamed Aboul-Ella.
