The Egyptian champions arrived in Ivory Coast's largest city on Thursday morning after a 24-hour flight.
Ahli's trip could have been also called off after a strike at Abidjan's Felix Houphouet Boigny airport has halted the take-off and landing of almost all flights at the country's main international airport.
But now, having been given the green light to play the match on Saturday as previously scheduled, Ahli players are ready to return home with full three points.
"The technical staff fully trusts the players' ability to emerge winners from the game despite enduring a very exhausting trip," Al-Badri told Ahli's official website.
"A win over ASEC will help us move step closer to reaching the Champions League semi-final."
Ahli opened their Group A campaign with a precious 2-1 home victory over arch-rivals Zamalek on July 13th.
Al-Badri admitted that Ahli's task against the Ivorian giants will not be easy.
"ASEC are a very strong team. They always revitalize their team and will be looking to reach the latter stages of the competition."
"The high humidity in Abidjan is a serious problem for us but Ahli players are up for the challenge," Al-Badri concluded.
