Reda Al-Weeshi notched twice on his debut to lead Arab Contractors to a 2-0 victory over Al-Gaish in their Egyptian League opener on Saturday.

Al-Weeshi, who joined Contractors from Ahli in the close season, opened the scoring in the 62nd minute.

He scored on the rebound after Rami Rabie's shot was parried by Al-Gaish keeper into his path.

The combative striker doubled the lead eight minutes from time after converting a pinpoint cross.

Al-Weeshi left Ahli after failing to establish himself under Portuguese manager Manuel Jose.

He rarely featured for the Egyptian champions last term.
