Mohamed Fadl has decided to put his talks with Ismaili over a contract extension on hold until January, to fuel speculations concerning his future.

“I decided to stop talks for the moment as I want to focus on the game and nothing else,” Fadl told FilGoal.com.

The 28-year old striker's current deal with Ismaili runs out in June 2009.

Reports in the Egyptian press have claimed that the talks collapsed due to Fadl’s exaggerated wage demands.

“I never asked for EGP 2m per season. I’m not alone in these negotiations and Ismaili bosses can confirm my claims.

“I don’t want any perturbations now and I have a very good relationship with the Dervishes’ bosses and fans,” concluded the former Ahli and Masri player.

Fadl has been Ismaili's main striker since joining from Masri in the summer of 2006.
