Real Madrid made a tremendous second-half come back to beat Valencia 4-2 at the Bernabeu and claim the Super Cup title on a 6-5 aggregate.

The Merengues had the worst of the starts as David Silva put the visitors ahead in the 33rd minute and just 7 minutes later new signing Rafael Van Der Vaart was shown the red card.

However Dutch marksman Ruud Van Nistelrooy brought his side back from the death as he scored the equalizer in the 50th minute. He made joy but 20 minutes later he caused misery as he was dismissed after a second booking leaving his side with only nine men on the pitch.

The hosts made a magnificent turnaround and Sergio Ramos gave his side the advantage for the first time in the 75th minute.

Having nothing to lose, Los Ches went massively forward to get back in the game, leaving spaces at the back.

Ruben Dela Red slapped them for that with two goals in only three minutes, 87 and 90, to put one hand on the trophy.

Fernando Morientes pulled one back later but that wasn't enough to ruin the party at the Bernabeu.
