Podolski stated on several occasions that he was unhappy playing a fringe role at Bayern and wanted away, but Hoeness responded firmly.
"Luke has to concentrate on his job and stop thinking in a negative way," Hoeness told TV show Focus on Sports.
"There are worse things in life than playing for Bayern," he added.
Podolski was linked to his former club Koln during the summer, but Hoeness said that Koln officials refused to meet Bayern's asking price.
