After chasing Berbatov all summer, Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United managed to beat competition from arch rivals Manchester City to sign the player in a deal worth £30.75 million.
"Manchester United is the biggest club in the world, perhaps it will be the last club in my career," Berbatov told The Sun on Tuesday.
Since joining Tottenham in 2006 Berbatov have established a reputation as one of the best strikers in the Premiership scoring 27 goals in 70 games for Spurs, but despite winning just one trophy with the North Londoners he denied having any fears playing for the Premiership champions.
"I've handled expectation and pressure throughout my life and I'm not scared of that. That's why I'm here. The most important thing is to enjoy myself, help the team win more trophies and thank the fans."
"If I do that and show what I can do like I did at Tottenham, I don’t think there'll be any problems. I hope my peak years are still to come. I'm 27 years old and now is my time," added the Bulgarian.
