Germany striker Mario Gomez admitted on Friday that Stuttgart are not ready to sell him this season.

The giant striker was keen to move to a bigger club after putting in some impressive displays during the past couple of seasons.

Although he failed to convince with Germany at EURO 2008, there were still high-profile clubs who tracked him.

But Stuttgart turned down a bid from Bayern Munich early in the summer before rebuffing another offer from Manchester City on transfer deadline day.

"I have a contract with VfB and the club has told me quite clearly that they will not let me leave this season. Not for any money in the world," Gomez told German daily Bild.

"I don't think (general manager) Horst Heldt would allow me to leave in six months when he has blocked every offer immediately.

"I have no problem playing in Stuttgart. VfB is one of the best run clubs in Germany and I enjoy playing in Stuttgart. The whole environment is fantastic.
