The Bundesliga bosses are willing to shorten the winter break starting from next season and to introduce the League Cup again.
"It (winter break) will be two or three weeks and we are in talks with the clubs about that," the German Football Federation (DBF) managing director Holger Hieronymus told Kicker on Thursday.
This season the Bundesliga clubs will rest for more than six weeks as the competition will be suspended from December 14 until January 30.
The German officials have been complaining as the season had to start earlier this year and also the League Cup won't be played due to busy DBF calendar following this summer's EURO 2008.
Hieronymus confirmed that the league cup will be introduced again next season.
