The Egypt coach declared that he is not ready to tolerate separate comments made by the duo to the media in recent months.
"One day I said that Hamza was not training seriously, then he replied on TV saying that 'this is a joke'," Shehata told Dream TV.
"I am not a joker, and I vehemently reject this attitude.
"I am not ready to call a player who speaks like that in public, even if he became the best in the world.
"I was expecting disciplinary action from the FA, but it seems I have to handle it my way."
Criticism
In the same manner, Shehata closed the door on Ahli winger Barakat, as he accused the latter of criticizing him repeatedly in public.
"Barakat has persistently criticized me in public, how can a manager recall a player who attacks him, even if he was the best," he added.
Barakat was a key member of Egypt's 2006 African Cup of Nations triumph, but the versatile midfielder pulled out of CAN 2008 due to injury.
However, the 30-year-old was not called up after that, despite regaining form and fitness with Ahli.
