Amir Azmi's Hacettepe Spor caused a huge upset by coming from behind to beat Fenerbahce 2-1 at home in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.

Brazilian playmaker Alex put the visitors ahead in the 20th minute but Ibrahim Sahin cancelled out his effort just before the break.

An own goal by Fenerbahce defender Can Arat on the hour mark gave Hacettepe Spor a precious victory.

Fenerbahce finished with ten men on the field after keeper Volkan Demirel received his marching orders one minute from time.

Egyptian defender Azmi, who joined Hacettepe Spor after terminating his contract with Zamalek, played the full 90 minutes and put in a fine display.

He marked Spain striker Daniel Guiza and managed to contain him throughout the match.

Hacettepe climbed to eighth spot in the league table with four points while Fenerbahce's poor start to their league campaign leaves them 11th on three points.
