"Saied will have to rest for three weeks then he will have to go through a rehabilitation program that will keep him out of action for another three weeks," Zamalek's doctor Mostafa Al-Monairi told the club's official website.
The 29-year old player sustained the injury while warming up before Ahli's game. He had to pull out of the game and Osama Hassan took his place in the starting lineup.
Meanwhile Al-Monairi confirmed that Mahmoud Fathallah's knee injury is less serious than first feared and that he could feature against Dynamos next Sunday.
The Whites are in a do-or-die situation as they must beat Dynamos in Harare to secure a place in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
