Mauro Camoranesi have inked a two-year contract extension, on Wednesday, that will keep him tied at Juventus until 2011.

The Argentinean-born midfielder has been a key figure for the Old Lady since arriving from Verona in 2002 and also was among Italy's golden squad that won the World Cup 2006.

“It is an important day. I arrived in Turin in the summer of 2002 and it's an honor to be able to wear this shirt for nine seasons," Camoranesi who will turn 32 on October 4 told Calcio Italia.

“It's not easy to play at the highest level for so long but I'm sure that I have lots more satisfaction to gain here.”

Injury crises

Meanwhile manager Claudio Ranieri is facing a real crisis as he will miss three key players when he will face Cagliari this Sunday.

David Trezeguet has been ruled out for the next three weeks after suffering an inflammation in his right knee.

Alessandro Del Piero sustained a stress in the ligaments of his right knee. Reports suggest that Amauri and Vincenzo Iaquinta are set to be paired in attack.

Defender Giorgio Chiellini is also a major blow for Ranieri who is set to line up Olof Mellberg alongside Nicola Legrottaglie.
