ASEC must beat guaranteed leaders Ahli in Cairo, hoping that the latter's arch-rivals Zamalek won't slip in Harare against Dynamos.
Despite Ahli's superiority in the corresponding fixture during the past two seasons, Liewig is ready for the Cairo test.
"We know we have to go for a win in Cairo after our last Saturday's defeat (by Dynamos), we are ready to face the challenge," the Frenchman told ASEC's official site.
"My players and I are in unison; trust, unity and determination will be our secret."
ASEC's victory in Cairo would mean nothing if Dynamos beat Zamalek at Rufaro Stadium in an earlier game on Saturday.
In all cases, we need to make a big performance against Ahli and win. And above all rely on a draw or a victory for Zamalek in Harare," added Liewig.
