Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is hopeful that wingers Joe Cole and Salomon Kalou could be fit to catch up with the team's trip to CFR Cluj on Wednesday.

England ace Cole missed the Blues' 2-0 win at Stoke City on Saturday, while Kalou was taken off at half-time with an ankle injury.

Scolari admitted his uncertainty about both players' availability as he confirmed the absence of Portuguese duo Deco and Ricardo Carvalho.

"I don't know [for Kalou] because it's the second time in the same leg, I wish and I think for Romania it is okay," Scolari told Chelsea's official website.

"For Cole, I say nothing until tomorrow, but Deco and Ricardo are out."

Chelsea face Romanian surprise package Cluj away, after the Champions League outsiders stunned Roma at Olimpico two weeks ago.
