Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri said that his team won't be taking BATE Borisov lightly when they meet the Belarusians in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Despite their 2-0 loss to Real Madrid in the club's first ever Champions League group game, Ranieri insists that the Minsk tie wont be an easy one for his team.

"BATE are a young team, playing their first Champions League home game, and therefore they'll want to do well on their home debut," Ranieri told Juve's official website.

"It'll be a crucial game for us. We won the first match so we want to do well in this one too. We have the utmost respect for BATE."

Ranieri will be hoping to get back to winning ways as the game comes on the background of two disappointing league draws against Catania and Sampdoria.

"First of all, let's try and separate the League and the Champions League. It's true, the stats say we're not scoring a lot, but the team has been creating many chances."

"We're not doing very well in front of goal, but the important thing is that we're not letting many in. Sooner or later the goals will come," added the former Chelsea coach.

Juventus enter the game joint leaders of group H with Real Madrid with three points each, while Bate lies bottom of the group alongside FC Zenit with no points.
