“Al- Gaish will go into the game determined to improve their league position,” Basri told FilGoal.com on Thursday.
Al-Gaish have been struggling with form since the start of the season, and are currently lying in thirteenth position with six points out of six games.
Poor results have led to the sacking of Sabri Al-Menyawi and replacing him with caretaker coach Mounir Hegazi.
“The new coach will be striving for a winning start which will give his players a bigger motive.”
Meanwhile, Basri decided to impose an EGP 3000 fine on Khamis Gaafar and Youssef Abdul-Rahim after a training session spat between the pair.
Ittihad will face Al-Gaish without Farag Shalabi, Mahmoud Sobhi and Hossam Abdul-Monaem who are suspended by Basri due to continuous absence from training.
