Fabregas strike saves Arsenal's blushes

Cesc Fabregas scored a 90th minute header to earn Arsenal a 1-1 draw at Sunderland in the Premiership's seventh round on Saturday.

The Spaniard's last gasp equalizer cancelled out Grant Leadbitter's opener for Sunderland on 86 minutes.

The game was a tight affair and real chances were very few at both ends.

Arsenal saw a second half Robin Van Persie goal ruled out as provider Theo Walcott squared after the ball crossed the byline.

Four minutes before the whistle, youngster Leadbitter broke the deadlock with a brilliant shot just few moments after coming on.

As the Black Cats were on the verge of grabbing the game's point, Fabregas rose to Van Persie's corner to share spoil with the hosts.

The Point leaves Arsenal in third place with thirteen points as Sunderland move to fourteenth with eight points.
