Abdul-Wahed delighted to be back
Zamalek guardian Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed feels delighted after earning a long-awaited call-up to the Egypt national team, following his injury problems.

Al-Sayed, who was hampered by injuries throughout the past two years, was selected by Hassan Shehata for next weekend's World Cup qualifier against Djibouti.

"I am glad to be back in the national after my injury problems. It took me around a year to fully recover," he told FilGoal.com.

"I don’t care about taking part in the game against Djibouti, the most important thing is that I am back in the squad."

The 30-year-old had a cruciate ligament operation last year and has been out of the international scene since April 2007.

Al-Sayed could take Essam Al-Hadari's place between the posts, as Egypt have already booked their ticket to the final round of the qualifiers.
