Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is set for a three-week layoff, after tearing ankle ligaments in the 1-0 defeat to Hull City last weekend.

"Roman will now undergo further treatment on the ankle after specialists declared him unfit to play for the next three weeks," read a Tottenham statement.

The Russian will miss his country's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Finland.

The news adds to Spurs' woes, with Juande Ramos only having Darren Bent and on-loan Frazier Campbell as available strikers at the moment.

Pavlyuchenko will definitely miss the games with Stoke City and Bolton, whilst he remains doubtful for the London derby with Arsenal on October 29th.

Tottenham are obviously struggling to find the net after the departure of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, as their attack line managed to score just four goals in seven league games.
