Spurs are having their worst Premiership start since 1912 and the club is currently bottom of the table with a dismal record of five losses and two draws.
"I know people are having a laugh at the fact we are bottom of the league at the moment. But it's up to everyone at the club to stop the jokes," Bentley told The Sun.
"But we have more than enough good players at Tottenham to get us out of this situation and I give my word that we will."
The former Blackburn man refused to blame the selling of striking duo Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane for the team's dismal form.
"We can't blame their departures for our problems. That's too easy an excuse."
Bentley refuted rumors of any rift with coach Juande Ramos, adding that he is fully supporting the Spanish coach.
"I'm fully behind Ramos, 100%."
