“We want to play the match just one day earlier than originally scheduled,” Ismaili chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com on Thursday.
The Dervishes are due to face Asyut Petroleum on October 26th away from home, just three days before hosting Bahraini side Busaiteen in the first-leg of the ACL round of 32.
“Ismaili are Egypt’s sole representatives in the ACL, so we hope the Egyptian FA would support us by accepting our demand,” Aboul-Hassan added.
The FA could find themselves embroiled in a dispute with Ismaili if they turned down their request.
Ismaili recently voiced their frustration at the FA’s decision to postpone their league game against fierce rivals Ahli, who were preparing for a CAF Champions League clash against Enyimba.
The coastal club, who accused the FA of favoring Ahli, expect similar treatment from the Egyptian soccer’s governing body.
