Enyimba striker Stephen Worgu is full of confidence ahead of Sunday's eagerly-anticipated clash against Ahli in the CAF Champions League semi-final in Cairo.

After a goalless draw in the first leg in Nigeria, the Egyptian champions became favorites to qualify for the competition's final for the fourth straight year.

Worgu, however, does not seem to be intimidated by the position of the five-time African champions as he issued a warning to Manuel Jose's team.

"The second leg will be more open because Ahli know they must attack to win and I am sure we will capitalize on it," Worgu told KickOffNigeria.com.

"As usual I believe I will be on the score sheet even though I play matches with the team in mind and not necessarily myself.

"In the first leg we wanted to win by as many as three goals to make the second leg a mere formality but sometimes football does not go the way you want it.

"If you watched the game you would have seen that we did our best but the goals failed to come."

Curiously, the 19-year-old is heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils in the winter transfer window, but up till the moment, they are merely his rivals.

Beatable

Former Nigeria U-21 tactician Tunde Disu backed Worgu's view, saying Enyimba are capable of beating Ahli in their neck of the woods.

“The Ahli team I watched was not fantastic and they are beatable. The pressure is on them now to score goals to win but Enyimba has good attackers that are capable of turning the table against them in Cairo," said Disu.

“In the first leg, two defensive midfielders were used and that reduced the strength of the attack. Again, the full backs were not going forward and so it gave Ahli so much room in the middle."

Moreover, Disu acclaimed his former employee, who scored 13 goals in the competition so far, to give Ahli a difficult night at Cairo Stadium.

"If you have a striker like that you can use his strengths to get the needed result," he added.

"Worgu played under me and I know with a good striking partner he will give Ahli a lot of problems."
