Ahli's chances of signing Enyimba striker Stephen Worgu have taken a step backwards after the Nigerian club's excessive financial demands to sell the striker.

Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qaeyi earlier announced that the club agreed all the terms bringing Worgu to Cairo, adding that a deal will be finalized after the two team's African Champions League semi-final.

However, a well informed Ahli source told FilGoal.com that the deal was hindered after Enyimba set an asking price of $1.5 million plus the player's personal demand of a $1 million annual salary.

Worgu has been in a great form for Enyimba this season, scoring 13 teams in the Champions League for the Elephants.
