Greisha provoked Maihoub with cards

Ahli coach Manuel Jose said that playing at home is tougher than playing away as his side reached the CAF Champions League final for the fourth consecutive season.

Flavio Amado’s first-half header gave Ahli a 1-0 home victory over Enyimba that lifted the team to the elite competition’s final.

But Portuguese coach Jose admitted Ahli faced a stern test.

“When we play at home, we are always under pressure from the fans,” he told the post-match press conference.

“But away from home, when we are under no pressure, we perform well. We put on a good display against Enyimba in Aba despite playing on a terrible pitch.

“In the second-leg in Cairo, Ahli players were nervous, allowing Enyimba to appear in a good shape.”

Ahli, who are seeking to win an unprecedented sixth Champions League title, will face Cameroonian side Coton Sport in the final.

“We will do our best to win the first-leg in Cairo to make our task of overcoming Coton Sport much easier.”

“Ahli have the best players in Africa. We should go for a win wherever we play,” Jose added.
