EFA announce elections deadline

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced that Monday afternoon was the deadline for receiving elections applications for the Association's presidency post.

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced that Monday afternoon was the deadline for receiving elections applications for the Association's presidency post.

The latest candidate to run for presidency was television commentator Ashraf Shaker, who told FilGoal.com of his hope to reform Egyptian football if he wins.

Besides Shaker and current president Samir Zaher, former Zamalek chief Kamal Darwish and ex-Ismaili coach Osama Khalil are both running for presidency.

The elections will concise with the Association's membership elections where 16 candidates will be hoping to earn an EFA place.

Current board members Mahmoud Bakr, Hazem Al-Hawari, Ayman Younes, Hani Abou-Reida and Magdi Abdul-Ghani will all be running alongside Baladeya president Mahmoud Al-Shami and Hamoul chief Ahmed Megahed.

Karam Kordi and Ehab Saleh and ex-footballer Hamada Al-Masri are also among others taking part in the elections set to be held on November 28th.
