Juventus managing director Jean-Claude Blanc played down interest in Werder Bremen midfielder Diego.

Recent media reports heavily linked the Brazilian ace with an imminent move to the Old Lady, but the allegation hasn't been substantiated.

"There is nothing going on with Diego right now," Blanc said on Wednesday.

Rumors were widely circulated in Italy that the Serie A side are holding talks with the player's father, who also works as his agent, but Blanc strenuously denied.

“The news that the player is set to move to Juventus is just the result of some brilliant work from agents," he added.

The official also referred he's more concerned about the rehabilitation of the injured players.

“Our priority is to recover the many injured players and to allow Claudio Ranieri to work with a full-strength squad at his disposal.”

La Vecchia Signora have 11 sidelined players due to physical unfitness, including goalie Gianluigi Buffon and frontline duo David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero.
