“We are pleased with the draw, but we let two points slip through our fingers," the German coach told Real Madrid's official website.
"Once again we didn't capitalize on good counter attacks and we never finished off a play that would have allowed us to score the second. I did like the team's attitude, though.”
Schuster reckons the Capital side could have taken a stranglehold on the game when they were one goal ahead.
“We didn't push hard enough when we had the chance, especially when Almería were seeking the equalizer," he added.
"We felt comfortable and controlled well, but we have the talent to finish a lot stronger and win the match.”
Pepe Injured
Besides the slipped-away points, the Spanish champions defender Pepe sustained an injury.
Pepe has got his left thigh badly bruised after being tackled in the first half of Sunday's game.
The 25-year-old who, is suffering from acute pain said that he's is eager to get back to action as fast as possible.
“My leg hurts a lot. I took an anti-inflammatory and need to rest in order to get better as soon as possible," the Portuguese said.
