Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri was dismissed from the stands by Coton Sport officials as he tried to watch a league game for the Cameroonian side.

"Egyptian consul Sherif Raafat and Al-Badri were not able to watch the match," Ahli said on their website.

"After observing their presence, Coton officials demanded Al-Badri and ambassador Raafat to leave the stadium immediately.

"Both men opted to leave in order not to cause any problems with the Cameroonian club."

Al-Badri flew to Cameroon earlier this week to arrange accommodation and transportation for Ahli, who will meet Coton in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final on November 16th.

But the nine-time Cameroonian champions said they were not responsible for any arrangements.

They insisted that Confederation of African Football (CAF) have the sole responsibility of off-field matters.

Ahli are firm favorites to win an unprecedented sixth Champions League title, having defeated Coton 2-0 at Cairo stadium.
