Egypt captain Ahmed Hassan is eager to see himself playing in the World Cup rather than making history in terms of international caps.

The 33-year-old is on the verge of breaking into the top 10 list of most-capped senior international footballers should he make his 150th cap for Egypt later this month.

However, Hassan does not give high importance to his personal feat as he dreams of making it to the World Cup finals with both club and country.

"Reaching the 2008 Club World Cup with Ahli and then the 2010 World Cup with Egypt would beat off any personal achievement," the Ahli ace told FilGoal.com

"Of course it is amazing to have my name among the most-capped players of all-time, but what is more significant is what I have achieved throughout my international career.

"Thank God I have won three African titles with Egypt, which means my involvement was valuable. But now I am dreaming of the World Cup."

Apart from his glamorous international career, Hassan had an outstanding 10-year bout in Europe, where he excelled with the likes of Besiktas and Anderlecht.
