Mohamed Fouad, the former translator of German coach Hollmann, was shown the door recently.
Although Zamalek did not disclose the reason for sacking him, they were apparently frustrated by his interference in footballing matters.
"We don't want a person from outside the technical staff to work as a translator," Refaat told FilGoal.com on Saturday.
"All of us speak English so there shouldn’t be a problem if we do not hire a translator."
It remains to be seen whether Hollmann would accept such notion. The 59-year-old coach recently demanded Zamalek board to reappoint Fouad as his translator.
Zamalek are enduring a miserable run of form that saw their hopes of competing for the league title fade.
