Ahli were greeted with flowers and celebrating chants, upon their return to Cairo airport with a sixth CAF Champions League trophy on Monday morning.

The Red Devils set Egyptians' hearts alight with the emphatic achievment, after deservedly overcoming Coton Sport of Cameroon 4-2 on aggregate in the competition's final.

Despite arriving few hours late than scheduled due to problems with Cameroonian authroities in Garoua airport, hundreds of loving fans were waiting for the Ahli team outside the Cairo airport.

In the presence of heavy media coverage, Ahli players shared their ecstacy with the fans and reporters alike, who were keen on taking photograophs and holding interviews with the continent's best.

Coach Manuel Jose deserted his well-known seriousness, as he waved to the celebrating fans and posed with his playrs holding the precious African Cup.

By winning the unprecedented sixth title, Ahli have engraved the club's position as top of the continetnt's hall of fame.
