The Red Devils have been crowned African champions after a 4-2 aggregate victory over the Cameroonian outfit on Sunday.
"Amir stood firm and put in a riveting performance despite the pressure of the pivotal game," Nagi told the Cairo giants' official website.
The 29-year-old saved his net on more than one occasion during the second leg, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
"Amir is definitely the man of the match. He prevented the Cameroonians from connecting with all crosses, and also denied their long shots competently," he added.
"He produced good displays throughout the competition and helped the team clinch the record-breaking sixth champions League title."
Nagi believes Amir improved upon vying with substitute keepers Ahmed Adel Abdul-Monem, Mohamed Al-Shenawi and Ramzi Saleh.
"Amir's competition with the replacements surely paid off," he said.
Amir has become Ahli's first choice goalie since the infamous departure of Essam Al-Hadari, who now plays for Switzerland's FC Sion.
He seems to be proving his worth, as the Cairo giants lost only once since he got a regular place.
