Recent reports claimed that the Egyptian international might be leaving Ahli for the English Premiership in January, after Blackburn Rovers approached the club about buying the player.
"The only inquiry we had about the Abd-Rabou was Blackburn's desire to trial the player," Soliman told radio show Kora FM.
Soliman added that in case the right deal comes along, Ahli won't prevent Abd-Rabou from fulfilling his dream of playing in the Premiership.
"Ahli will not stand in Abd-Rabou's way, but it's inappropriate that a player in his caliber travels to Europe for just trials."
The Sheikh also stressed that while expecting a lot from the 2008 African Cup of Nations' best player, Abd-Rabou is yet to reach full potential with Ahli.
"He (Abd-Rabou) needs more time to adapt with the team and the Emirate league."
The former Strasbourg man, who's on a two-year loan at Ahli from Ismaili scored just once in the Emirate league so far in the season.
