Messi makes Lisbon trip, Puyol out

Barca announced that the Argentine, who sat out the 1-1 draw with Getafe at the weekend, is fit for the Lisbon game, along with Mexican defender Rafael Marquez.

However, Josep Guardiola opted to keep out Puyol, who has a gastric problem and a headache. Ivorian midfielder Seydou Keita is also rested.

Guardiola's men have already booked their place in the knockouts as they lead Group C with 10 points.

The Spanish tactician is expected to field a second-string team against Sporting, who need a draw to join the Catalans to the last 16.
