Egyptian Football Association (EFA) president Samir Zaher has reached a new agreement, ending the league's broadcasting row between champions Ahli and the Association.

Upon launching their television channel in August, Ahli have demanded exclusive rights for satellite broadcasting of their league games, a demand which contradicts with the EFA's ongoing contract with several satellite channels.

Zaher told FilGoal.com that a new resolution has been reached between the EFA, National Sports Council (NSC), the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) and the satellite channels, increasing each club's revenue from broadcasting the league's games.

FilGoal.com can reveal that according to the new agreement, each club will earn up to EGP 4 million from broadcasting revenues.

Zaher added that he is set to meet with Ahli president Hassan Hamdi to discuss the new deal hoping to settle the ongoing broadcasting crisis.

In the meantime, Zaher convened with ERTU and Egyptian Specialized Channels Sector to confer the Union's calls for free satellite and terrestrial broadcasting of Egyptian clubs' home fixtures in the CAF Champions League.

The Union is only granted rights for free terrestrial broadcasting, but now they have asked for satellite broadcasting as well.
