The squad announcement will fuel speculation linking midfield duo Boujelbene and Mostafa with a move away from the African champions.
Tunisian Boujelbene Struggled to establish himself as a regular starter since joining from Sfaxien in January 2007.
Diminutive midfielder Mostafa was a key member of an Ahli squad that won a host of local and continental titles over the past few years.
But he fell out of favor with Ahli coach Manuel Jose after the emergence of 22-year-old midfielder Hossam Ashour, who took his place in the starting line up.
Striker Ahmed Farag rarely featured for Ahli since his close-season arrival from Ghazl Mahalla. He did not have sufficient time to prove his worth.
Other Absentees
There was no room for veteran sweeper Emad Al-Nahhas, who is yet to recover from a serious knee that kept him out of action for long spells of 2008.
Playmaker Mahmoud Samir was also left out after failing to impress since joining Ahli from Tersana last year.
Six-time African champions Ahli open their Club World Cup campaign against Mexico's Pachuca on December 13th.
