Juventus board have given Bastian Schweinsteiger until the first of January to make a final decision about joining the Turin club, Tuttosport reports.

The Bayern Munich winger will be out of contract at Bavaria by the end of the season, and Juve have entered serious negotiations to bring him to Italy.

However, Schweinsteiger's representatives have earlier cancelled a proposed meeting with Juventus officials, and it's rumored that the player's girlfriend is blocking the move as she doesn’t want to live in Turin.

According to the Italian paper, the Juve board are running out of patience with Schweinsteiger, and if 24-year-old fails to make a final decision by January, they will turn their attentions towards Werder Bremen playmaker Diego.
