The ENPPI wide man told FilGoal.com that a representative from Rovers is arriving in Egypt on Wednesday to finalize the deal's details.
The 21-year-old flew to Blackburn for a trial two weeks ago, and apparently he managed to convince coach Paul Ince with his abilities.
"I have spent a successful short spell at Blackburn, therefore they are sending a representative to wrap up the deal," Al-Muhammadi told FilGoal.com.
After a four-day trial, head coach Ince lauded the versatile player and confirmed that he would like to acquire his services in the January transfer window.
Direct negotiations between both clubs are expected to get underway on Wednesday.
After Amr Zaki, Ahmed Hossam 'Mido', Mohamed Shawky and Hossam Ghaly, Al-Muhammadi would be the fifth Egyptian player in the Premiership if he joined Blackburn.
