Middlesbrough striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' announced that he'll make a decision regarding his future in January's transfer window.

The Egyptian international has been recently unsettled at the Riverside as he competes for a regular spot with Brazilian striker Afonso Alves and Turkey forward Tuncay Sanli.

Several clubs have already revealed their interest in luring Mido, with Wigan Athletic leading the race to sign the 25-year-old in case he leaves Boro.

"Wigan manager Steve Bruce wanted to sign me before, but I didn’t decide anything as yet," Mido was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"I will decide on my future comes January. All I want to do now is score more goals and improve my game."

Despite struggling with several minor injuries, Mido is currently Middlesbrough's top scorer with four league goals.

After spells at Ajax, Marseille, Roma and Mido joined Gareth Southgate's Middlesbrough from Tottenham in 2007.
