Hosni Abd-Rabou converted a first-half penalty to help Ahli Dubai defeat Sharjah on Friday and go four points clear at the top of the UAE Football League.
Ahli were awarded the spot-kick when Sharjah keeper brought down Brazilian striker Bare in the 33rd minute.
Egypt midfielder Abd-Rabou sent the keeper the wrong way to put his side in front.
The 24-year-old, who rediscovered his form after a subdued start to his season, took his tally to three league goals so far.
Ahli are on top of the league table with 21 points, four ahead of second-placed Ain, who could narrow the gap if they beat Jazeera on Saturday.
