Mark Van Bommel is set to open talks with Bayern Munich for a contract extension next week, the Dutch international said.
"I have a talk with the club next week, and then we'll see," he told the official website of the Bundesliga.
Van Bommel's contract runs out in the summer. He has earlier voiced dissatisfaction over being left out of the starting line-up on more than one occasion.
He captained Bayern Munich to a 2-1 victory over league leaders Hoffenheim on Friday.
Bayern were trailing 1-0 but fought back to secure the three points thanks to goals from Philipp Lahm and Luca Toni.
Van Bommel hailed his teammates for their performance that moved them to second place in the table.
"Everyone saw our reaction. We went up the pitch and did really well," he said.
Both teams have 34 points but Hoffenheim lead on goal difference.
