Real Madrid new coach Juande Ramos started his mission with the club in fashion, after beating FC Zenit 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

Ramos, who was installed as Real coach after the sacking of Bernd Schuster, saw his team grab the three points thanks to a Raul double (25, 57) and an Arjen Robben 50th minute goal.

Los Merengues looked in total control of the game, where Zenit failed to pose any real threat on Jerzey Dudek in the Real goal.

Despite the win, Real stay second of Group H level on 12 points with Juventus, with the latter having the advantage of the head to head record.

The Old Lady could only manage a goalless draw at home to BATE Borisov of Belarus.

Having already secured the group’s top spot, Claudio Ranieri’s team never looked eager enough to win the clash.

BATE are now lying fourth in the group with three points, two short of Zenit at third.
