According to Al-Sabah newspaper, an anonymous source from the Tunisian side confirmed that both clubs have reached a final agreement over the signing of the 27-year-old.
The Tunisian publication also mentioned that the beleaguered player is going to join the Grinners on a two-and-a-half year deal for $ 320,000.
Abdi was heavily tipped to move away from his current club after being involved in a good number of disputes with the board and coaching staff members.
A while back, the Tunisian player was handed an indefinite suspension along with Gamal Hamza, Osama Hassan, Mohamed Aboul-Ella and Ricardo Alves.
The former Sfaxien player is still banned, whereas the other four players have been reprieved, which indicates that his unfruitful spell at the Cairo-based club will soon come to an end.
