Refaat rejected Tunisian reports suggesting that Abdi has agreed a contract with Esperance, despite conceding that the center-half has become out of favor in the Cairo club.
"Abdi is an irresponsible player, he has no place in the team at the moment, because he needs to be disciplined," Refaat told FilGoal.com.
"But he is under contract with Zamalek and he has no right to sign for any other team unless the club give him permission."
On the other hand, Refaat revealed that the White Knights are yet to decide on the future of veteran striker Abdul-Halim Ali, who received an offer from Gaish.
Agogo, Hamza Return
Meanwhile, Zamalek are set to regain the services of influential duo Junior Agogo and Gamal Hamza for the upcoming league game against Police Union on Saturday.
The duo took part in the team's training session on Monday as Zamalek's official site stated that they are poised to lead the frontline at the weekend.
Ghana striker Agogo completed a three-match suspension by the Egyptian FA, while Hamza was disciplined by the club in recent weeks.
The absence of Agogo and Hamza had an obvious impact on Zamalek, who failed to find the net during the past five games.
