Hossam Al-Badri called on the mass media not to exaggerate Ahli's 4-2 loss to Pachuca in the first round of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The six-time African champions have been condemned to a depressive defeat by the North American champions last Saturday, and they have been heavily vilified ever since.
"The media shouldn't make a big deal out of it. Losing is always possible in football," the Red Devils assistant coach told FilGoal.com on Tuesday.
Now Manuel Jose's men are keen to make amends for their failure by claiming the fifth penultimate place, therefore Al-Badri wants to ease the pressure off them.
The Cairo giants are set to face Australia's Adelaide United FC on Thursday, as the latter set up the meeting after losing 1-0 to Gamba Osaka.
"We are preparing for the upcoming game against Adelaide, and we will do whatever it takes to pull off a victory," he added.
Ahli are going to end their preparations for their last game in the premier competition by Wednesday noon.
