Ismaili board member Walid Al-Kilani said that some officials are conspiring against the club by trying to sell Iraqi attacker Mostafa Karim.

Al-Kilani told FilGoal.com that the officials are trying to sell Karim by claiming that the player isn’t in new coach Ricardo's plans.

"Selling Karim will be a conspiracy against the club," Al-Kilani angrily said.

Karim's agent Mohamed Shiha has earlier told FilGoal.com that the club have asked him to seek his client another club.

"We as board members must protect our useful players from similar destructing attempts," Al-Kilani added.

The board member stressed that the situation is similar for Guinean midfielder Samuel Johnson, whom recent speculation suggested he will be sold in January.

After signing Iraq keeper Nour Sabri, Mozambique defender Dario Kan and Nigerian striker John Jumbo, Ismaili will be obliged to let go two of their foreign players.

According to the Egyptian Premier League rules, every club are allowed to register no more than three foreign players among their ranks.
