Gamba Osaka coach Akira Nishino was left unhappy after his team's 5-3 defeat at the hands of Manchester United in the Club World Cup semi-final clash played on Thursday.

"It is good people think we played well, but I'm not happy we lost, Gamba always want to win," Nishino said after the game.

"We controlled the game at sometimes and scored three goals which is good, but in general I'm not happy with the result."

Nishino admitted that at large parts of the game, his players couldn’t cope with United's superiority.

"When United played serious we were no match for them. We tried to defend from midfield but they beat us with some excellent through passes.

"We should have handled him better, if he had not scored the third goal after we scored right away, we might have been able to change the score line."

After the United loss, Gamba will now compete for the World Cup third place against Pachuca on December 21st.
