Egyptian Cup champions Zamalek will begin their title defense against first-division (second tier) side Bani Obeid in the competition's round of 32.

The draw, which was held on Thursday, did not feature any game between two Premier League teams.

Zamalek's arch-rivals Ahli were paired with Alexandria-based club Koroum.

Ismaili face Dakhileya while last season's runners-up ENPPI take on Bani Swaif Telephones.

Masri tackle Shams, Ghazl Mahalla meet city rivals Baladeya and Ittihad face Mansoura.

Current league leaders Petrojet meet second-division club Gendi.

All the matches will be played within the last 11 days of December. The cup rounds will not witness any two-legged ties, with the winner determined after just one game.
