The Red Devils ended their CWC campaign in a dismal fashion, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Adelaide to finish sixth in the seven-team tournament.
"The defeat to Pachuca put too much pressure on the team," Abdul-Hamid told reporters on Thursday.
"That pressure greatly affected our display against Adelaide and eventually led to our loss."
Better Display
The 29-year-old guardian said that despite the Adelaide defeat, Ahli produced a better performance than the Pachuca opener.
"Coach Manuel Jose tried new things and introduced several new faces. Although the result was not good, it was clear that we improved."
"We need to focus now on our upcoming commitments. We have to produce good results in the Egyptian League and win the African Super Cup."
Six-time African champions Ahli will meet Tunisia's Sfaxien in the Super Cup at Cairo Stadium, in a repeat of the 2006 Champions League final.
